Geissele has a new trigger unit for AK-pattern firearms. The AK-X with Lightning Bow is a drop-in trigger pack with the Lightning Bow trigger shoe. Keep reading for all the details.

Geissele @ TFB:

Geissele (well, technically ALG Defense, but that is pretty much the same thing) already offers a few AK triggers, but the AK-X differs in a few ways from those options. The ALG AKT-UL and AKT-EL are standard-type trigger sets, meaning they have separate hammer, trigger, and spring components. While they offer improved trigger performance they are refined versions of the original design.

The AK-X differs by being a cassette-type unit that drops in as one piece. If you have ever snapped your hand with an AK spring while swapping a trigger you will appreciate this change! It also has a 2-stage trigger pull with a total pull weight of 3.5-4 pounds. The ubiquitous nature of the AK is also one of its downfalls. Due to the wide range of AK-style guns, the AK-X may not work in all. It is designed for common guns including most 7.62x39 models, but is not compatible with pistol-caliber or shotgun versions.

Geissele’s AK-X trigger retails for $350.

From the manufacturer:

“Upgrade your AK platform with the revolutionary Geissele AK-X Two-Stage Trigger—bringing the legendary feel and performance Geissele triggers are known for. Inspired by the proven line of Geissele AR triggers, the AK-X offers a smooth, consistent take-up, leading to a definitive wall and an ultra-crisp, clean break. Every pull delivers the same predictable performance, ensuring unmatched consistency shot after shot.
Designed for durability and ease of installation, the drop-in cassette fits with minimal adjustment. Encased in an anodized aluminum housing, the trigger’s main components are coated with Geissele’s industry-leading Nanoweapon finish—offering superior corrosion and wear resistance while making cleaning effortless. For an unmatched AK shooting experience, the Geissele AK-X Trigger stands in a class of its own.”
