Element Optics Debuts Seeker On-gun Laser Rangefinder
Element Optics has a new option for a gun-mounted laser rangefinder. The Seeker is capable out to 3,000 meters, and incorporates both Bluetooth and wired remote operation. Keep reading for all the details.

Along with the ranging laser, the Seeker also includes an array of other sensors. It uses an onboard barometer, hygrometer (which measures humidity), inclinometer, thermometer, and compass. That data feeds into the ballistics suite to improve accuracy.
A simple interface also allows for wind strength and direction inputs. The user can indicate a wind speed and direction using the controls on the Seeker, and those inputs give a windage correction along with the drop data for the ranged distance. Two wind values can be entered at once to provide a high and low range in uncertain conditions. The display also shows extras like the incline angle and time of flight, which is very nice when trying to spot impacts at extended ranges. Users who mount the unit vertically instead of horizontally can switch the display direction in the menu.
According to an Instagram post from Element Optics, "We are aiming to have them in stores this summer, with an estimated retail price of 1000-$1200" so expect it then.

From the manufacturer:
“The Seeker is a Weapon Mounted Laser Rangefinder (WMLRF) with an integrated Ballistics Calculator. Using the full power of the Element Ballistics Chip, the Seeker measures atmospheric conditions using on-board sensors, and allows for wind data capture to provide instant, accurate firing solutions.
Unlike a handheld rangefinder, this unit connects to your weapon system, and can be “zeroed” to your riflescope. This eases your workflow and enables you to range and engage your target without changing position. With seamless app integration, storage for 4 profiles and a user-friendly interface, the Seeker is our solution for rapid target engagement out to 3000 Meters.”
