The New Wilson Combat Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR)

Wilson Combat is expanding its WC-15 line of AR-15 pattern rifles with the addition of the new Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR). This rifle is advertised as a purpose-built platform engineered for shooters who demand accuracy, reliability, and refinement in every shot. Let’s take a look at the specs and features of the new Wilson Combat Designated Marksman Rifle.

The new Wilson Combat Designated Marksman Rifle is chambered in 5.56/.223 with a Wilde chamber, a happy medium chamber that allows efficient and safe use of both 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. The rifle is fitted with an 18” match-grade fluted Wilson Combat Recon Tactical profile barrel with a 1:8” twist rate. The muzzle is threaded with the 1/2x28 thread pitch and the rifle comes with a Wilson Combat Q-Comp compensator installed. The gas system is rifle length with a low-profile gas block.

The upper and lower receivers of the Wilson Combat DMR are billet machined out of aluminum with an Armor-Tuff finish applied over mil-spec hard anodizing. The furniture consists of Magpul MOE stock, Wilson Combat/BCM Starburst Gunfighter pistol grip, and a 15” Wilson Combat M-LOK rail that comes with 4-slot M-LOK covers. Inside the lower receiver is a Wilson Combat Tactical Trigger Unit (TTU), a two-stage trigger with a four-pound pull weight. The overall length of the WC DMR is 38.25” and the empty weight is 6 lbs 14.6 oz.

The MSRP of the base model of the Wilson Combat Designated Marksman Rifle is $2,575. The rifle comes with one Lancer L5 10-round Advanced Warfighter magazine.
