Wilson Combat has acquired Guncrafter Industries, the Berryville, Arkansas-based company. The deal brings Guncrafter's brand and assets under the Wilson Combat umbrella, with Alex Zimmermann, who founded Guncrafter Industries, remaining involved in an advisory and developmental capacity.

Wilson Combat @ TFB:

Guncrafter Industries built its reputation around the .50 GI cartridge, which Zimmermann developed, and a lineup of hand-fit single and double-stack 1911 pistols. Prior to founding Guncrafter, Zimmermann served as head of engineering at Wilson Combat. Wilson Combat, also based in Berryville, has operated since 1977 and produces 1911 pistols, AR-platform rifles, and related accessories.

According to Wilson Combat, existing Guncrafter product lines will continue, with operations supported by Wilson Combat's manufacturing infrastructure and distribution network. The company asked Guncrafter customers for patience during the integration and said additional details on existing orders, service, and the future lineup would follow in the coming weeks.

"This is a natural fit for both companies," said Bill Wilson, Founder and CEO of Wilson Combat. "Guncrafter Industries has built an outstanding reputation for innovation and craftsmanship, and we share a common philosophy when it comes to quality and performance. We are excited to welcome their team and continue building on the strong foundation they've created."
