Hunting wild boars with semi-automatics? No way, as the new Davide Pedersoli Boarbuster Apocalypse enters. Chambered in 45/70 Government and with looks as if it just arrived from the latest Hollywood movie, this model is said to be designed in response to the growing demand for tactical-style lever-action rifles, easily customizable at the discretion of the end user.

According to the Italian manufacturer, the Boarbuster Apocalypse features a robust design with an action pre-drilled for seamless assembly of a Picatinny rail. Its metal components are meticulously coated with a Cerakote finish, showcasing a striking copper effect. The barrel is thoughtfully threaded at the muzzle with the 5/8 x 24 UNF pitch, so you can add a suppressor or other muzzle devices. The barrel length has been reduced to just 17”, giving the gun an even more compact and aggressive look.

The stock and forend, made of durable polymer, are adorned with a distinctive spiderweb effect for both aesthetics and grip.

The gun is prepared to accommodate ghost sights, enhancing targeting precision unless you go for a red dot or a riflescope.

Recoil comfort is enhanced thanks to a microcell butt pad. The stock features an adjustable cheek piece for personalized ergonomics, and the forend integrates M-LOK plates for accessory attachment, complemented by a QD element inserted into the stock for quick sling connectivity.

A lever with an extra-large loop ensures easy and reliable operation.

Technical specifications:

  • Caliber: 45/70 Government
  • Magazine capacity:5 rounds
  • Weight: 3.45 Kg – 7.61 lbs
  • Barrel length: 432 mm - 17”
  • Total length: 900 mm – 35 7/16”

If I had a Davide Pedersoli Boarbuster Apocalypse, I’d likely mount my new ASE Utra Suppressor and Pulsar Thermion 2 XL60 thermal riflescope.
