SWAROVSKI OPTIK Introduces the AT/ST Balance Spotting Scope
SWAROVSKI OPTIK has announced the AT/ST Balance, a new compact spotting scope that combines the company’s established optical performance with integrated image stabilization. The model is designed for users who want high magnification capability without relying on a tripod. I am currently reviewing the “normal” Swarovski AT, the one without image stabilization, and it sure is an amazing optic.
The AT/ST Balance incorporates SWAROBALANCE image stabilization, a system used for the first time in a SWAROVSKI OPTIK spotting scope. The technology is engineered to counter small hand movements and maintain a steady image, even at magnifications up to 45x. Because the stabilization operates with low latency, it responds immediately to motion, helping maintain a clear view during handheld use.
According to the company, the scope is built for situations where mobility is essential. Its compact size and low weight allow it to be used in environments where traditional spotting scopes typically require tripods or other supports. The Balance is positioned for users who want to reduce equipment load while retaining image clarity at distance.
The new model integrates the same optical standards seen across the brand’s premium spotting scope lineup, with emphasis on contrast, resolution, and color fidelity. The addition of stabilization is intended to extend practical usability, particularly when observing distant subjects without a fixed rest.
The AT/ST Balance will be available at SWAROVSKI OPTIK retailers and through the company’s online shop starting at the end of November 2025.
“The image stabilization of the AT/ST Balance uses highly sensitive sensors to detect even the slightest movements and compensates for them in real time. The AT/ST Balance can process more than 1,000 measurements per second and corrects the lens position accordingly. The ability to observe at this quality and identify accurately using a spotting scope that can be handheld marks a major turning point in observation optics”, said Roland Wolff, CEO of SWAROVSKI OPTIK North America.
Pricing in the U.S is as follows: AT Balance 18-45x65: $3,999; ST Balance 14-35x50: $3,849.
