.32 H&R Magnum is So BACK! Smith & Wesson has surprised us by breathing some life back into the .32 H&R Magnum cartridge with the announcement of two new Davidson’s Exclusive J-frame revolvers. The Model 632 and Model 432 offer both stainless and black finish offerings, respectively, for people who want to try something uniquely different for their everyday carry (EDC).

Smith & Wesson @ TFB:

Smith & Wesson Releases Davidson’s Exclusive J-Frame Revolvers

First, we’ll take a look at the Model 632, which touts an MSRP of $669. This revolver has no internal lock (no “Hillary hole”), chamfered charge holes for easier loading, and an aluminum alloy frame with a silver-colored finish.

  • Upgraded Endurance Package: The upgraded internals have been designed to improve both performance and durability.
  • Gold Bead Front Sight: Gold bead front sight and integrated u-notch in the frame for a rear sight provide rapid targeting.
  • Synthetic Boot Grip: Textured and contoured to maximize shooting performance.
  • 1.88" Stainless Steel Barrel
  • 6-Round Stainless Steel Cylinder

Next, is the Model 432, which will run you the same retail price of $669 as the Model 632. For those who are familiar with Smith & Wesson’s model naming conventions, the “4” that leads this model name tips us off that it is going to have a black finish. Nearly all of the other attributes are identical to the previous offering except we switch from a stainless steel cylinder to now a carbon steel cylinder. A minor change.

A Word from Smith & Wesson on the new Davidson’s Exclusive J-Frame Revolvers

“Maryville, Tennessee - November, 2025 - Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Select: SWBI), a leader in firearm manufacturing and design, is proud to announce the recent release of the Davidson’s® Exclusive Model 432 and Model 632 revolvers.
Designed for everyday self-defense, these new J-Frame models serve as an ideal concealed carry platform. Chambered in .32 H&R Mag, both of these double-action revolvers feature a 6-round capacity, a 1.88-inch stainless-steel barrel, and a lightweight construction at just 14.7 ounces. These Davidson’s exclusive models are equipped with an enhanced internals Endurance Package, designed to improve both performance and durability, along with a fluted carbon steel cylinder and chamfered charge holes for easier loading.
Out of the box, both revolvers feature a precision-regulated gold bead front sight and an integrated u-notch rear sight to improve sight acquisition, as well as a textured synthetic boot grip contoured for optimal feel and performance. The Model 432 is available in a black-anodized aluminum matte finish, while the Model 632 showcases the traditional matte silver aesthetic.”

Final Thoughts

It will be interesting to see how well these .32 H&R Magnum revolvers end up selling for both Davidson’s as an exclusive offering and Smith & Wesson considering the .32 H&R Mag has been outpaced by more common rounds like .357 Magnum/.38 Special and even .327 Federal Magnum. As always, let us know all of your thoughts about Smith & Wesson, Davidson’s, and these new J-frame revolvers in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.

Cool guns. But wouldn’t want to start stacking 32 h&r mag.

  • I'm not 100% sure yet but if you're wondering how this is different than the previous UC models other than the distributor, the rear sight on the UC is dovetailed in while these use the traditional fixed rear notch.
