POTD: The New Tikka T3x Ace Target - Suppressed
I had the T3x Ace Target around for some time, and in this Photo Of The Day, we have some images to share. The Ace’s heavy barrel is said to minimize vibration and handle heat buildup, ensuring repeatable accuracy throughout extended shooting sessions. This one was chambered in .308 Win, and it shot really well. The riflescope is from Steiner.
The equally new T1x Ace Target made a guest appearance as well, chambered in .22LR for some rimfire accuracy and fun. It runs an optic from Burris, and a suppressor from Ase Utra. Shooting rimfire suppressed is a really nice experience, with virtually no noise or negative effects apart from the cleaning afterwards.
The Tikka ACE has a very clean look, almost too clean. It’s Finnish precision at its best, and I love the color.

I'm impressed by the fact that Tikka has been producing accurate, reliable, durable rifles for decades and often the actions need no truing for precision and ELR usage. I hope that never changes.
One could probably argue that factory barrels usually exhibit slower velocities than aftermarket barrels, but that's not a deal breaker.
That rifle looks about six feet long with the can at the end. It would definitely not work with my alligator arms.
