[SHOT 2025] Leupold Introduce The VX-6HD Gen 2 Riflescope Line

The new VX-6HD Gen 2 line is launching with an impressive six different models which boast four different reticle options. Fairly aimed at the hunting market the VX-6HD has a range of premium features.


The new line of second focal plane scopes. One in a range of magnification options including 1-6x24, 3-18x50 and all the way up to 4-24x52, below is the full list of optics available:

1-6x24 CDS-SZL2 SFP, 2-12x42 CDS-SZL2 SFP, 3-18x44 CDS-SZL2 SFP SF, 3-18x50 CDS-SZL2 SFP SF, 4-24x52 CDS-SZL2 SFP SF, 3-18x56 CDS-SZL2 SFP SF, 4-24x52 CDS-SZL2 SFP SF.


Four illuminated reticles are available within the VX-6HD family: Illuminated FireDot Duplex, Illuminated TMOA, Illuminated FireDot Boone & Crockett and the Illuminated FireDot Twilight Hunter. Looking through the scopes on the SHOT Show floor these reticles all appeared clean, uncluttered and easy to pick up.

The VX-6HD Gen 2 range has features including: 6:1 zoom ratio SpeedSet™ Dial Technology, 30mm and 34mm maintubes ,Fast-focus eyepiece Guard-ion lens coating, Scratch-resistant lenses, Ultra-lightweight tube design, Alumina® Flip-Back lens covers Integrated throw lever, an d are water and fog proof and Leupold offer a lifetime guarantee.

The VX-6HD has a CDS-SZL2 dial, which eliminates the need for tools when zeroing or changing custom dials. There is a lever on the SpeedSet dial whichkws the user to reset the zero on their elevation and windage dials without having to use any tools.

The dial also features Leupold’s push-button ZeroLock system, eliminating accidental dial movement and an integrated throw lever.
