Photo Of The Day and we go thermal. If you wonder about the rifle, it’s an FX Airgun DRS Tactical, so as we leave the visible (for humans) spectrum, we also leave the world of gunpowder. Why, you may ask? Well, there are a lot of reasons for using air guns, if you have trouble with birds or rats in your barn, for instance, and you don’t want to make holes through the roof with your .17 HMR.

The Nocpix Bolt L35R is a new thermal riflescope designed for night hunters, featuring a 384×288 thermal sensor, 50Hz refresh rate, and an OLED display for target detection. It includes a built-in laser rangefinder (that’s the tower on top of the objective), multiple color palettes, and a picture-in-picture zoom mode. The LRF binoculars are from Vectronix.

Weighing under 880 grams, this thermal is relatively compact, rugged, and user-friendly, resembling traditional daylight scopes for easy transition. It offers a 3.5–14x magnification range, a 35mm F1.0 lens, and a 12-hour battery life with a 5000mAh built-in and 18650 battery.
