Nocpix Bolt L35R Thermal Riflescope for Hunters

Nocpix has launched the Bolt L35R, a thermal riflescope designed with new night hunters in mind. The scope combines user-friendly controls with advanced thermal imaging, aiming to provide reliable target detection and clarity without overwhelming first-time thermal users.
Nocpix Thermals @ TFB:
The Bolt L35R uses a 384×288 thermal sensor paired with a 50Hz refresh rate and a bright, high-contrast OLED display. This setup allows clear identification of heat signatures beyond 1,000 meters (about 1,100 yards), making it suitable for extended-range night hunting. Several color palettes and a picture-in-picture zoom mode help adapt the view to different conditions in the field.
A notable feature is the built-in laser rangefinder, accurate out to 1,200 meters according to Nocpix, assisting hunters in judging distances for more precise shot placement, a rare capability in thermal optics at entry-level thermals.
Weighing under 880 grams (about 1.76 pounds), the Bolt is compact and rugged, designed to be comfortable for long hours of use without adding unnecessary weight. The controls and interface resemble those found on traditional daylight scopes, which helps ease the transition for hunters moving from daytime or digital night vision optics to thermal.
According to Nocpix’s product manager Tom, the Bolt L35R “offers professional-grade features in an accessible package” and is aimed squarely at newcomers who want a straightforward introduction to thermal hunting.
The technical specification of the Nocpix L35R goes as follows:
- Thermal sensor: 384 × 288 & 12μm
- NETD: ≤ 20 mK
- Frame rate: 50 Hz
- Objective lens: 35 mm F1.0
- Field of view(H×V), °/m@100m: 7.5x5.7/13.2×9.9
- Magnification range: 3.5~14x
In terms of battery, the L35R runs on a built-in 5000mAh and a 18650 battery, with a maximum operating time of 12 hours. Probably long enough for most hunters’ needs.

It won't be a budget option for the majority of hunters.
What the hunting community needs is a quality thermal scope that is usable out to 500 meters for $700 or under.
