The Rideout Arsenal Dragon, released to the public just a few weeks ago, has quickly garnered a great deal of interest online. It is innovative, unique from many perspectives, it has polarizing looks, and it's a premium product. All this attention has brought an unexpected, and definitely unwanted, outcome: a fake website posing as the real one, with the intent of scamming potential customers.

Rideout Arsenal Warns Customers of Scam Website

In the message to their customers, Rideout Arsenal warns the public of the existence of a fake website:

“We want to let you know that someone has set up a fake site purporting to be Rideout Arsenal's official site.
They call it, rideoutarsenalllc.com  It is fraudulent garbage.
The REAL Rideout Arsenal site: w ww.rideoutarsenal.com
This re-directs to our store which is at: https://rideout-arsenal.mybigcommerce.com/ “

We reached out for further comments on October 29th, 2025, and Travis Rideout added the following details:

“We just found it yesterday (28th). It was apparently registered on the 14th but we are not sure exactly when that site went live. We have filed an abuse complaint with the host [… ] for the phishing and copyright infringement. We were told 24-72 hours for them to review and takedown the scam site.
We also notified our host and Google to block any fraudulent counter abuse claims and to get the scam site de-indexed. We are further investigating brand and trademark protection through 3rd party vendors. We posted on all our social media to inform our customers about the fake site. We sincerely hope no one was deceived and defrauded by this bad actor. We have reached out to everyone that has purchased a first edition Dragon to confirm that their order is legitimate.”

Rideout Arsenal Dragon: Updates

We also took the chance to catch up on this ongoing project, and these are the main updates:

  • Rideout Arsenal has secured a booth at SHOT show (No. 44130).
  • They are in active production of the 100 First Edition Dragons.
  • As of today, there are only a few, single-digit, of the First Edition Dragon preorders remaining.
  • Several minor design improvements related to tolerances, fitments, manufacturing processes, and coating quality have been implemented.
  • The N-ROC has seen the RMR cut moved rearward to prevent the Trijicon SRO from overhanging the ejection port.
  • Modular accessories are in active development and will be available early in 2026. So far, these include: several different height and profile bolt hold opens (slide release), a threaded nose for mounting suppressors, a 3 port compensator nose, both a thicker and thinner backstrap, several different optic footprint cut N-ROC's, a fully adjustable fiber optic irons only N-ROC, and an N-ROC that reciprocates with the bolt.
  • The company is on track to start regular production of Dragons in early 2026, and is engaging with distribution dealers.
The Dragon First Edition - the latest update would have less of the Trijicon SRO frame over the ejection port.
