POTD: Kimber DS Warrior Spectre
Custom & Collectable Firearms has unveiled the Kimber DS Warrior Spectre, a limited-edition 1911 designed as much for the display case as the range. Restricted to 200 sequentially numbered examples, each gun combines Kimber's proven DS Warrior double-stack platform with a striking Multicam Gold Cerakote finish that balances tactical aesthetics with prestige elements. The matte black controls provide visual contrast, while carbon fiber grips echoing the Multicam pattern complete the cohesive design language.
Built on the trusty 5-inch barrel frame, the Spectre delivers the handling and reliability expected from a premium 1911, chambered in 9mm for modern shootability.
The design philosophy treats the finish as intentional symbolism: camouflage represents stealth and survivability, while gold accents signify power and presence. For collectors who appreciate limited-edition runs and refined execution, this is a gun designed to stand out. Currently available through participating dealers at $1,699.
What draws you to limited-edition 1911 designs? Are you a collector who prioritizes finish and aesthetics, or do you shoot these guns hard?

It's seems Kimber has gotten their act together after moving to Alabama. My son just bought one and it feels and shoots better than my more expensive Staccato. Since Staccato has cut off many of its dealers including my local guy, I think I'm going to consider Kimber my next 2011.
In other news they’re going to offer a limited run of rattle canned camo hi points as well. Those will be safe queens and barbecue guns for sure!
