We have a perfect setup for this Photo Of The Day. The partnership between Nighthawk Custom and Korth represents a rare convergence: German precision engineering married to American gunsmithing and sales. Founded in post-war Ratzeburg by locksmith Willi Korth, the company built its reputation on revolvers that required months to complete, each machined from billet steel by hand with uncompromising attention to detail. Take the time to admire the Korth Mongoose .44 Magnum in these images.

Chambered in the cartridge once dubbed the world's most powerful handgun cartridge, this revolver pairs a hammer-forged barrel with a six-round cylinder, fully adjustable rear sight, and DLC coating for durability - and looks!

Turkish walnut grips and a high-polished trigger face emphasize the marriage of aesthetics and precision. Available in 3", 4", and 6" barrel lengths, the Mongoose delivers the refined craftsmanship Korth is known for.

The price lands around $4,724.00. The fine details can be found at https://www.nighthawkcustom.com/mongoose-44-mag

To be sure this is a beautiful gun but for what? Shooting .44 Mags in the 3" & 4" versions is a fool's folly. I know! Lots of fun at 50 yards in competition but quit while you'er ahead and no shorter than 6" for hunting! The top should be solid for added recoil and won't catch "debris" you'll have to clean out. Yeah, I know, nobody's going to hunt with it and they can play with the stupid cylinder lock. For my money buy American...if you can find one.

Plenty people make revolvers right. S&W just popularized the broken frame fad. Can't wait til that's no more
