Creekside Custom Pinnacle Safety for Ruger MK IV Pistols

Some upgrades add speed, some add accuracy, and some just fix the one thing about a pistol that nags at you every time you pick it up. The Pinnacle Safety from Creekside Custom belongs to that last group. It is a purpose-built replacement for the factory safety on the Ruger MK IV, made for shooters who want the thumb to land in the same comfortable spot every time.

The goal is a consistent, comfortable and repeatable thumb position every time you shoot. Consistent hand placement matters for accuracy, recoil management and speed, and the Pinnacle Safety offers a repeatable reference point so the same grip comes back each time the pistol is picked up. That is useful whether you are chasing faster stage times, tighter groups or just a more comfortable range session, and it leaves your attention on the sights, the trigger and the shot. This sounds like a great upgrade for Steel Challenge and similar shooting sports.

Construction is straightforward. The safety is precision-machined from a single piece of 17-4 stainless steel, and its ergonomically rounded profile guides the thumb naturally into position.

Installation is a drop-in job. Replace the factory safety with the Pinnacle Safety, and no permanent modifications are needed.

The Pinnacle Safety costs $115, and it is available in stainless steel or black.

What they need to fix is the Mk4's jiggly bolt release. Now that is annoying.
