POTD: Freedom Ordnance FM-9D Belt Fed 9mm PCC
The FM-9D from Freedom Ordnance is said to turn any standard AR-15 lower into a serious belt-fed 9mm blaster. This closed-bolt blowback upper feeds from 100- or 150-round disintegrating-link belts in reusable nylon bags and instantly switches to Glock magazines when the belt runs dry, with last-round bolt hold open on both. It looks really great in O.D. Green, and even better with a suppressor.
The 8" Pistol with a Picatinny handguard shown in the pictures comes in at an unloaded weight of 8.2 lbs, while the 16" Rifle (Picatinny handguard) version weighs 9.4 lbs unloaded. The weight of a 100-round loaded belt-bag assembly (115gr FMJ) is 3.5 lbs. Some of the features of these firearms include one-handed bolt charging, improved belt feed assist, split bolt delay, and enhanced durability pins.

According to their own social media, FM-9D BeltFed/MagFed firearms are being assembled and shipped every week. The price is in the region of $3,599.99 – $4,348.99. Not cheap, but I’m sure some here bought less fun guns for a lot more - including myself!

I live in S FL and go to the State range about twice a month to shoot automatic. I know the range officers pretty well. I asked if the are seeing a lot of FRT's and the response was they are illegal in FL. Machine guns ok but no FRT's. Go figure.
Guess what, guys: it was never about freedom. They are hyper-carceral authoritarians and they hate freedom. They held their noses and made a transactional arrangement with gun owners, but when SHTF they will have to liquidate freedom-loving gun owners along with everybody else who opposes them.
