POTD: Austria, Norway, and Italy Walk Into a Range…

Photo Of The Day: Today we have a diplomatic summit on a shooting bench, featuring three handguns that couldn’t be more different.

Center stage: SIG Sauer P322 with an A-Tec carbon-fiber suppressor which is ridiculously light and will plink .22LR quieter than you can imagine. Suppressors this light and good are what happens when Norway decides to weaponize politeness. Remember that the Nobel Peace Prize committee is from Norway.

The left, top flank is covered by the Austrians and their Glock 17 Gen 5. It’s reliable, unpretentious, almost all made of polymer and it will secretly judge your grip angle and if you have anything negative to say about its trigger. Unfortunately, this one ate a somewhat hot 9mm load by accident and kind of exploded. With some repairs, it’s still in action, because a Glock won’t die.

The lower flank is taken care of by the Tanfaglio Stock 3. It speaks Italian, it’s all steel, all attitude, and costs more than your first Vespa. It’s heavy, but doesn't recoil like crazy, and the trigger is magnifico!

I could easily babysit all of these in my safe. Oh wait - that’s what I do!

I have usage by several nations (admittedly in the Forties) represented in one design with my HP-35s.

I love my P322, but my Walther - made M&P 22 full size is more accurate.

Hoping someone comes out with a .22 caliber Xchange kit for the P365 XL or Macro.
