New! - The Wilson Combat eXperior Elite Commander
Wilson Combat has expanded its X9 series with the eXperior Elite Commander Double Stack. This 9mm pistol blends the line’s familiar ergonomics with modern, high-capacity performance aimed at everyday carry and defensive use.
The Wilson Combat eXperior Elite Commander Double Stack is built on a compact, high-capacity aluminum frame that integrates a light rail and a frame-integrated flared magwell, providing strength, versatility, and fast reloads. Its unique TRAK texturing on the frontstrap and backstrap, together with black G10 TRAK aggressive starburst grips featuring pewter medallions, is designed to give shooters positive control in a wide range of conditions. The gun is equipped with a Wilson Combat Bullet Proof hammer, an ambidextrous thumb safety, and a magazine release, all intended to enhance durability and reliability.
Trigger weight is set between 3.5 and 4.5 pounds, with a crisp break and a medium‑length trigger pad to balance control and comfort. A countersunk slide stop keeps the profile snag‑free for carry. Up top, the eXperior Elite Commander Double Stack uses a stainless steel Tri‑Top slide with an external extractor, paired with a 4.25‑inch stainless steel, match‑grade bull barrel that is fluted, flush‑cut, and reverse crowned. Wilson Combat pre‑cuts the slide to accept a variety of popular carry optics using the company’s Pin Technology, allowing users to mount red‑dot sights directly.
Sighting equipment consists of a Battlesight rear paired with a red fiber‑optic front sight, offering a high‑visibility sight picture. The slide features a fluted chamber and barrel, 30 lines‑per‑inch serrations on the top, and 40 lines‑per‑inch serrations on the rear, all intended to reduce glare and aid in consistent sight alignment. Wide, enhanced cocking serrations at the front and rear of the slide further improve manipulation, while a heavy machine chamfer along the bottom of the slide, along with carry cuts and ball endmill cuts, contributes to both aesthetics and practical carry comfort.
Wilson Combat backs this configuration with a 1.5‑inch accuracy guarantee at 25 yards, underscoring the pistol’s precision‑oriented design. The eXperior Elite Commander Double Stack ships with two 18‑round magazines, positioning it as a high‑capacity, optics‑ready 1911‑style pistol tailored for shooters who want custom‑grade performance in a concealed‑carry package. The MSRP of this new Wilson Combat pistol is $3,999.

FYI, any single action semi-auto pistol without a grip safety is not, cannot, and will never be a “1911‑style pistol”.
