Holosun ARO & ARO EVO: New Red Dot Optics for 2025

Holosun has announced the availability of their two new red dot optics for 2025: the ARO and ARO EVO. These sights are designed for shooters needing reliable performance at short and intermediate ranges. I used a Holosun red dot for my PCC carbine, and it’s been nothing but great.

The ARO (Advanced Rifle Optic) builds on Holosun’s 403 and 503 series. It uses a 22mm housing compatible with Holosun’s magnifiers and comes with a 1.63-inch 1/3 cowitness pedestal mount featuring a skeletonized design.

The ARO EVO (Advanced Rifle Optic EVOlved), an upgraded version, has a larger 26mm housing for a wider sight picture. It introduces the Special Purpose Reticle (SPR), combining a 2 MOA dot, a circle, and bullet drop compensation/ranging marks for better performance at longer ranges. The ARO EVO also includes a 50,000-hour battery life, Shake Awake, and Solar Failsafe in a 6061 aluminum housing. It has IPX8 water and dust resistance and offers 8 daylight and 4 night vision brightness settings.
