SDS Arms had several interesting new items on display at SHOT Show across their brands. The Inglis 2035 Hi Power adds 2011-ish upgrades to the venerable BHP platform. Additionally, Military Armament Corporation has a new price-conscious MP-5 handguard flashlight, and Spandau Arms has an R700-compatible bolt action rifle.

Bergara had several new rifles for 2026.  The Cima Pro spares no expense to create an ultralight hunting platform, and the Platinum Stalker takes a more traditional approach. Bergara’s new silencer, the BTi30, was also on display.

Franklin Armory had several new things at SHOT Show Industry Day At The Range 2026, including the new Prevail bolt action rifle. This gun blends the best parts of controlled feed and push feed actions. We now have some rounds through the gun and can explain better how it works.

Over the last few years, Bergara has moved from being an unknown company in the United States to being a staple on gun store shelves. Their lineup is expansive and includes all sorts of rifles. The newest models are optimized for precision rimfire shooters.

Savage Arms just expanded its lineup of up-spec'd rifles again, with the release of the new 110 Trail Hunter Lite. As the name implies, this is an evolution of the existing 110 Trail Hunter model. That rifle comes with a 22-inch medium heavy barrel. The new Lite version has a 20-inch fluted barrel to cut down on weight, to about 7 pounds, depending on which cartridge your rifle is chambered for (the 350 Legend version has an 18-inch barrel). The standard 110 Trail Hunter weighs around 8 pounds.

Our friends at B&T USA have just announced the release of the SPR86 – an integrally suppressed bolt action rifle chambered in 8.6 Blackout. The SPR86 is the older/bigger sibling to the B&T USA SPR300 Pro chambered in 300BLK (one of my remaining grail guns). Upsizing the 300BLK platform, the 8.6BLK SPR86 launches heavier bullets farther with the same level of extreme accuracy. Weatherby have released another iteration of their newest Model 307 bolt action rifle called Alpine CT. The new Weatherby Model 307 Alpine CT is built with extensive use of carbon fiber components. The new RUK AK magazine adapter from Occam Defense brings standard AK mags to the Ruger American bolt-action rifle. Rather than the standard Mini-30 mags, which can be expensive and hard to find, AK mags practically grow on trees and tend to be more affordable (as long as you aren’t buying rare ones). For today’s Photo Of The Day, we have pictures of a very cool project by a company called Cotton Branch Custom Firearms. It’s a Lee-Enfield rifle converted to a De Lisle carbine configuration except instead of .45 ACP it is chambered in 375 Raptor. The latter is a .375-caliber short-action cartridge based on the .308 Winchester case.

If you are one those bros who wants more powder, more case length, more velocity, more bullet, more everything, than you will be tickled to hear about some more news coming out of Springfield Armory. They have announced that they are now producing new long-action cartridges in their Model 2020 Waypoint bolt-action rifle series.

Steyr announced the new Scout Mk II late last year, and we now have one of the first shipment guns on hand for review. However, good reviews take time, and there is not much info about this gun yet. So, here is a first look at the Scout Mk II while that review is in process!

Blaser’s R8 series of hunting rifles is one of the more premium options on the market. Offered in a wide variety of cartridges and styles, these rifles make it easy for European customers to take advantage of a wider variety of cartridges for hunting, without the need to take up an extra slot on their firearms permit. Beyond the legal benefits, the R8 is also an extremely high-end rifle with a very practical caliber conversion system that has just received its latest expansion in the way of Blasers new R8 Small Caliber Set Rimfire Conversion kits. These rimfire conversion kits allow you to take your full-size rifle-caliber R8, and convert it for use for practice, or varmint hunting.

Montana Rifle Company has a new traditional-style hunting rifle, called the Junction. It has a unique Adaptive Controlled Round Feed action that can work in either push feed or controlled feed. A threaded muzzle with a brake is also standard.
