Japanese rifle manufacturer Howa had two new rifle models on display at SHOT Show 2026. The Fence Line series takes the base model Howa 1500 and adds some popular features

SHOT 2026 @ TFB:

Howa’s Fence Line series takes the basic 1500 rifle and adds a painted stock and Cerakot finish. It comes in three color options: prairie reaper, grey light, and scorched earth. Threaded muzzles are standard, and radial muzzle brakes are also included on the guns. Mini actions in cartridges like 223 and 6mm ARC, short actions, and long actions are all available. The mini action models include detachable proprietary magazines, while the short and long action models include a hinged floorplate. Howa guarantees 3-shot sub-MOA groups with this rifle. MSRP starts at $729 for the Fence Line models.

The Superlite Gen 2 takes the original Howa Superlite and incorporates an HS Precision stock with webbed texturing for a solid grasp even when wet. Both 16- and 20-inch barrel lengths are offered, and all have a light contour finished off with 1/2x28 threads and a thread protector. Stock color options are tan, gray, and olive drab green. Howas chambers the Superlite Gen 2 in .308, 7mm-08, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .243 Winchester. Though it weighs less than five pounds (4 pounds, 15 ounces), Howa still offers a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee. MSRP for the Superlite Gen 2 is $1169.

Apart from these new models, Howa has expanded options for other product lines. .25 Creedmoor is now offered as a chambering option in several models, including the Fence Line, Hogue stock base model, Super Deluxe Walnut, and Walnut rifles. In the mini action, Howa is now offering .22 ARC options alongside cartridges like 6mm ARC, 350 Legend, and 6.5 Grendel.
