Cabot Firearms and their sister company Alchemy Custom Weaponry were at SHOT Show 2025, showing off their pistols. The newest additions include a gold Trump 1911 from Cabot and a full-rail option in the Alchemy line. Let’s take a look at them.

EAA Corp showed off some new Match 2311 pistols at SHOT Show 2025. These pistols are made in Turkey by Girsan and imported by EAA. They have double-stack high-capacity magazines and a feature set for competition use.

SK Guns/SK Customs has expanded its popular Lost States series with its 3rd installment, “ The Lost State of Transylvania” – Daniel Boone. The Lost States of America: Daniel Boone series will begin shipping in August 2024 with pre-orders currently being taken at $2,700 per handgun. The custom engraved pistol is a full-size government model Colt 1911 chambered in .45 Auto with only a limited run of 200 pistols being produced. Each will be accompanied by a commemorative antique challenge coin.

Springfield Armory debuted their Hellcat pistol as the “world’s highest capacity, micro-compact” several years ago, and they have been building out that family of pistols ever since. This includes their Hellcat RDP (Rapid Defense Package), Hellcat Pro (longer barrel, longer grip), and OSP variants (“Optical Sight Pistol” – optics ready). Now, they have announced the most feature-rich iteration yet with the unveiling of the Hellcat Pro Comp OSP.

Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is all about the rimfire firearm world and its many different types of guns, ammo, and history. Last time we talked about the concept of a gas-operated 22LR rifle or pistol. While the concept is a neat exercise in “can we do it” the reality of the situation is that the 22LR cartridge is not meant for nor would it be suitable for anything other than a manual or standard blowback semi-automatic action. This week I want to talk a bit about an obscure pistol I’ve been trying to get my hands on for years – the elusive and massive AMT Automag II .22 Magnum rimfire pistol. Born out of the technological revolution of the 80s, the Automag II is equal parts hand cannon and target pistol. This is one rimfire gun I’d love to see make a comeback and hopefully today I can show you why.

SIG Sauer have announced that a P320-M17 version of their ceremonial M17 pistol will be available. The Ceremonial M17s were introduced in October 2018 and have equipped the honor guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier since.

The LTT Beretta PX4 is taking the handgun world by…Storm? It took me years to warm up to this firearm, but I may have finally come around to it with the most recent developments from Beretta and Langdon Tactical to the PX4 Storm Compact Carry 2.

Luke C is back for day 3 of the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits to talk with Shield Arms about some of their latest products and services. Today Seth shares Shield Arms’ new ROC (Revolver Optics Conversion) mount – a no-mill option that easily attaches to your J-Frame revolvers (like the S&W 442) giving you an instant optics solution for iron-sighted revolvers. Shield Arms is also showcasing their new Split Rig – an easy on-and-off chest rig perfect for shooting prone, and finally their Grip Chop service for the Glock 48 and 43X. This service shaves off just enough of the grip to fit the new Shield Arms 10-round flush fit mag made specifically for their Grip Chop – Did they just invent the Glock 43X/48 SF?

Magpul Industries just announced their new Magpul P320 Grip modules for the popular SIG Sauer P320 pistols. This new aftermarket boost for the P320 will be available in full sized and compact versions, with two versions each; with a manual safety cutout, and one without. For new shooters unfamiliar with the SIG P320, unlike nearly every other pistol, its Fire Control Unit (FCU) is the serialized part, separate from the grip, which means the FCU can be swapped into different grips to meet user’s needs and desires.

Glock has finally added the 17L back to their lineup! New for 2024 the longest variant of 9mm Glock is now available with the Gen 5 upgrades and the MOS optics cut system. Hop stopped by the Glock booth at NRAAM 2024 to check out the Glock 17L Gen 5 MOS.

In the last couple of years, the resurgence of the Hi Power pistol has taken the market by storm. Both Springfield Armory and FN have come out with their own variants of the iconic pistol. While my write-up of the Springfield Armory SA35 is coming soon, I have spent a fair amount of time with the FN High Power and after a couple of months shooting the FN, I can tell you my experience with this modernized classic.

That’s right folks, Glock has finally graced us with a new G17L. And not just any Glock 17L, but a Glock 17L Gen5 MOS. This has always been a less common model in the Glock catalog, so it was a bit of a surprise to see it added. But it is a very interesting model, so let’s check it out.

The Fusion Firearms 20X11 pistol is currently available in a 4.5” model but will soon be expanded to include 5” variants. Each 20×11 is compatible with Glock OEM and aftermarket 17 round magazines and retails for about $1,100 making it a more affordable option for those seeking a 2011-style pistol.

In this episode of TFBTV Show Time, Hop visits the Shadow Systems booth at the NRA Annual Meeting 2024 to check out the new CR920X. This is a new version of the CR920 micro double stack, with a longer grip that can accommodate a 15-round flush fit magazine or an 18-round extended magazine. The CR920X still has the same optics cut compatible with K-cut red dots, and is available as the flagship Elite model or the more entry-level Foundation model.

In this video, Hop is at NRAAM to check out the new Taurus TX22 TORO. This is a combination of all the best elements of the TX22 lineup, pairing the slide-mounted optic of the TX22 Compact with the heavier barrel of the TX22 Comp. The Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS you see above was my last issued pistol, which I had to give up once I resigned after 15 years with my police department. Of my 21-year career in law enforcement, this was the fourth pistol I was issued, not including my personal Glock 22 I carried on duty for years. Of all the Glocks I’ve carried on duty, this Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS has been my favorite!
