Bergara Academy New Wyoming Long Range Training Facility

The Bergara Academy Long Range Shooting School has an additional new location in Wyoming at the Queen Mountain Ranch outside Evanston. It joins the existing location in Montana. Bergara will offer a series of 2-day “Beginner Western Hunter” classes running from May through August. Shooters will learn to engage targets out to 1,000 yards in hunting scenarios.

Bergara @ TFB:

These classes include the use of a Bergara Wilderness Carbon HMR in 6.5 Creedmoor, ammunition, and all other supplies necessary for the course. Food and lodging are also included in the $2,195 class price, along with transportation to and from the lodge from the Salt Lake City International Airport. All that shooters need to supply is their own clothing, day pack, and sunscreen.

The Queen Mountain Ranch sits near the Utah-Wyoming border on the north slope of the Uinta Mountains. Bergara advertises this as a high-altitude class, and the lodge sits above 8,000 feet of elevation. Animal targets are available at various ranges extending past 1,400 yards.

From the company:

Embark on an unparalleled shooting experience at the Bergara Academy, now with two premier locations. Our Belt Mountain Lodge near Great Falls, Montana and Queen Mountain Ranch in Evanston, Wyoming provide the perfect backdrops for refining your long-range shooting skills.

Our courses, conducted by seasoned professionals, offer hands-on, detailed instruction tailored to the unique preferences of your group. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes as you train on world-class ranges featuring animal silhouette targets strategically placed at distances exceeding 1,400 yards.

All-inclusive packages cover the use of Bergara rifles, ammunition, delicious meals, airport shuttle, and on-site lodging.

@Jason Sell Well, how does one loose their "beginner designation"? How does one become qualified to take 1000yd hunting shots? How did you become qualified? Trial and error? Did you just keep taking 1000yd shots at animals until you started to reliably make lethal hits? Did you take a class that taught you hands on the skills and knowledge necessary to make those shots. Wouldn't this be the perfect place for a beginner to start? Or are you suggesting no new people learn the skill of long range hunting? Your comment makes zero sense. I doubt the have deer fenced in 1000yds out and just hand a beginner a rifle and tell them to have at it.

A friend of mine with rather extensive military firearms experience, but little long range experience, went to the previous version and told me it was one of the most informative and challenging courses he had ever taken.
