[SHOT 2024] Small And Mighty Silencer Central Banish Speed K
Silencer Central showed off the new BANISH Speed K silencer at SHOT Show 2024, designed for use with 5.56 caliber rifles, offering solid sound reduction while maintaining a small footprint. The Speed K features such as clipped-wall baffles, a finned blast chamber, and controlled flow technology, combine to provide a marked reduction in sound without a significant blowback increase.

One of the challenges in the design of the Speed K suppressor was achieving durability under extreme conditions. Its 100% Inconel construction addresses this need by offering reduced heat retention and increased endurance. Impressively, the Speed K has passed seven rounds of SOCOM testing, an endurance test where one round consists of firing 1,440 rounds through the suppressor in rapid succession. This level of testing is a testament to the Speed K’s robustness, as many suppressors on the market struggle to pass even one round of such testing.
The BANISH Speed K meets the demands of a compact suppressor that doesn’t sacrifice performance. At 4 inches in length, this suppressor is particularly suited for operations where speed and maneuverability are important. Moreover, the design focus on minimal length aligns with the emphasis on reducing blowback and boosting sturdiness. The Speed K includes a direct thread industry-standard HUB mount, along with the option to buy and use different muzzle devices.

In this year alone! When I was in HS, there was Marlin and Winchester; Savage 99 had been discontinued as too expensive. Then Winchester went under, and other than clones made in Italy, Brazil, or Japan, that's all there was, but now, how do you even choose? Is everyone getting ready for another AWB, or something?
It'd be a lot cooler in Ti like the rest of the Banish series. 14oz for a can this short is a travesty.
