The Sooner State Goes Hot: New CBC Ammo Plant

CBC, a well-established company with over a century of experience producing ammunition brands like Magtech and SinterFire for military, law enforcement, and civilian use, is making a big move in the U.S. with a new facility in Oklahoma. This $300 million investment is a particularly significant step for American ammo manufacturing, as it will not only create jobs on a local level but also expand our US domestic ammo production capacity in an already pretty heavily stressed and often volatile industry.

MADE IN AMERICA: CBC TO OPEN $300 MILLION AMMUNITION PRODUCTION FACILITY IN OKLAHOMA
Oklahoma (May 12th, 2025) – CBC, a world leader in ammunition for portable weapons, is expanding its global footprint with a major investment in the United States. The company today announced the launch of CBC USA, a state-of-the-art ammunition manufacturing facility in Oklahoma, representing a $300 million investment and the creation of 350 new jobs in the region.
The new facility reinforces CBC’s long-term commitment to the U.S. defense industry and domestic manufacturing. As part of CBC Global Ammunition, CBC USA brings over a century of expertise to the U.S. market, establishing one of the country’s most advanced and vertically integrated ammunition production operations.
“We are thrilled to bring our new manufacturing operations to Oklahoma,” said Fabio Mazzaro, President of CBC and board member of CBC Global Ammunition. “This facility will be a cornerstone for our future growth in the world’s most important market for small caliber ammunition. With in-house production of all components, propellant, and critical energetic raw materials, we envisage to build an industry-leading and fully vertically integrated company. We believe that the region’s supportive business environment makes Oklahoma an ideal location for CBC USA”.
CBC Global Ammunition, the holding company for an international group in the ammunition sector, is one of the world’s leading producers of military and civilian small-caliber ammunition. A key supplier to the United States military and allied forces worldwide, CBC also serves law enforcement and commercial markets. Magtech Ammunition Inc. acts as its master distributor in the U.S. for all brands within the group.
CBC USA will manufacture a full range of cartridges, including 9mm, 5.56mm, 7.62mm, and .50 BMG, serving military, law enforcement, sport shooting, self-defense, and hunting markets. The facility will replicate CBC’s world-class manufacturing processes, ensuring full control over critical components cases, bullets, primers, powder, and nitrocellulose, a key energetic material in global short supply.
A new ammunition plant opening up could transform the local area, with 350 new jobs driving economic growth in Oklahoma’s communities through increased employment and spending (think all the support systems and services you need for a giant building like that). For the state, it’s an opportunity to strengthen its position as an attractive destination for industry, potentially drawing more firearms businesses.
Nationally, CBC USA’s fully integrated production, covering everything from 9mm to .50 BMG, could help stabilize supply chains in the firearms industry. This would provide not just another competitive force to drive down prices for customers but also help keep the supply chain alive during shortages and panic buys. According to official state sources, a groundbreaking ceremony is expected in late 2025 on grounds that were already historically used for a munitions facility during WWII.

Nice to see they even make their own primers. Ukraine was one of the biggest primer makers until they war so its good to see ammo companies make their own. Now if other companies in the US would start making nitrocellulose instead of being reliant on China.
CBC has made ammo for the Brazilian military for years, 20 years ago, it was up to NATO spec, even if they didn't advertise it as such. Clean, consistent, some of the best factory .45ACP I've ever used, more accurate in several of my pistols that even Winchester.
And their primers are top notch.
