The Rimfire Report: New Distributor Exclusive Ruger 10/22 Rifles

Welcome back to The Rimfire Report, our weekly article series dedicated to everything related to the rimfire primer/ignition design. One of the most iconic rimfire rifles is no doubt the Ruger 10/22. In production since 1964, this semi-automatic rimfire rifle has been a tremendous success for the company. Millions of Ruger 10/22s have been produced over the past 61 years, and Ruger continues to introduce new models, as well as exclusive versions available only through specific distributors. In this edition of The Rimfire Report, we’ll take a look at the seven newest distributor-exclusive Ruger 10/22 rifles.

Davidson’s Distributor Exclusive Ruger 10/22 Rifles

There are three new Davidson’s exclusive Ruger 10/22 Carbon Fiber rifles that share the same specs and features except for the anodizing color ( Burnt Bronze, OD Green or clear anodizing) of the Grey Birch MFG aluminum chassis that these rifles come with. At the moment of writing, only the Burnt Bronze version can be found on Davidson’s Gallery of Guns website, and it has an MSRP of $1,129.

Features:

• Grey Birch Chassis features a modular 10" forend with M-LOK and Arca-Swiss compatibility and ambidextrous QD points. The stock is adjustable for length of pull and cheek height and folds for easy storage and transport.
• Hard-coat anodized, CNC-machined receiver made from heat treated and stress relieved aluminum allows for optimal receiver-to-bolt interaction and a match-grade feel.
• Cold hammer-forged barrel tensioned in carbon fiber sleeve features a 1/2"-28 threaded muzzle and is fitted with a thread cap which can be removed to allow for the use of muzzle accessories.

Exclusively available through Sports South is this single model of the 10/22 Carbine with a Black Synthetic Ruger Modular Stock. No price information is currently available on the Sports South website.

Lastly, there are three new Talo exclusive models of the Ruger 10/22 Sporter rifle with Altamont laminate stocks engraved with Gator, Eagle and Bison motifs. Other than the stock engravings, all three rifles have the same specs and features. The MSRP is not specified on Ruger’s or Talo Distributors’ websites.
