SIG Sauer TiN Can: 3D-Printed .30-Cal Titanium Suppressor

I am in a mode where I’m about to “suppress everything”, except (and for obvious reasons) my open and competition pistols and rifles. The other day we presented SIG Sauer’s new Hexium suppressor family, clearly developed for semi-automatic ARs. With this article, it’s time for the TiN Can suppressor, developed specifically for .30 caliber bolt-action rifles.

Developed using SIG SAUER’s advanced additive manufacturing techniques, the TiN Can suppressor features a fully 3D-printed titanium core with internal geometry designed specifically to reduce sound on fixed-action platforms. The TiN Can measures 9 inches in length and is built from lightweight titanium (hence the name), offering durability without adding unnecessary weight in the field. The weight is 18 oz, about half a kilogram, which is pretty good considering the size of the suppressor.

It comes equipped with a HUB Taper Direct Thread Mount for quick, secure attachment across a wide range of fixed-action rifles. What kind of attachment do you prefer? QD or direct thread? My opinion? I wish I had something conclusive, because for me it depends on the rifle and the intended use.

At the front, a modular end cap system allows for accessory integration.

Externally, the suppressor features a distinctive diamond-textured surface and a black Cerakote finish, offering both enhanced grip and rugged field performance.

I can’t speak of its performance in terms of noise reduction, but it’s a good looking suppressor.
