The Strike Industries Strike Micro Threaded Comp - QUAD V, an OpticsPlanet exclusive, is now available for 9mm handguns. Priced at  $74.95, this compensator is designed to eliminate vertical muzzle movement, making it a practical choice for shooters entering the Open Division at USPSA matches or seeking improved control. This compensator builds on the original Quad Comp, with a focus on reducing vertical muzzle rise through two large vertical ports. It’s supposed to be compatible with any 9mm handgun featuring a 1/2x28 threaded barrel, including models like the Glock 17 and Glock 19.

The New Strike QUAD V Threaded 9mm Compensator

Introducing the new Strike Micro Threaded Comp - QUAD V.
The 'V' stands for vertical as it's designed to kill all vertical movement of the muzzle when firing your handgun. This new and longer compensator's main difference from its original design (the Quad Comp) is that it will work right out of the box with your pistol without any tuning required.
Previously, the original Quad Comp needed some tuning of the guide rod's recoil spring depending on the platform. Additionally, the original Quad focused on killing fore and aft movement, reducing perceived felt recoil.
The new Quad Comp V features two large vertical ports for gas to exit from and despite being 1.44" in length, its aesthetic design aid in weight reduction so this won't feel cumbersome on the user at all when installed.
We tested the new Quad Comp V on a G17 and G19 and saw virtually no muzzle rise. Put it this way, if you've been wanting to build an "Open Division" gun, this is a fantastic muzzle device to get for it!

This compensator, as stated in the official product description above, builds on the original Quad Comp, with a focus on reducing vertical muzzle rise through two large vertical ports. Measuring 1.44 inches in length, it should be compatible with any 9mm handgun you’d want to use. Unlike its predecessor, which required recoil spring tuning, the QUAD V is intended to work without adjustments as its lightweight design doesn’t add unnecessary bulk. The package includes a Torx tool, Loctite, and a flat head Torx M4x12mm screw for secure installation and easy timing. Testing on Glock platforms showed minimal muzzle rise. The Strike Micro Threaded Comp - QUAD V is available for $74.95 exclusively at OpticsPlanet.

Not enough ports or volume for Open Division major PF guns to get the most from it so no its not competitive for comped race guns.

Be fine for people shooting PCSL or 3-gun where they've decided power factor is an anachronism.
