The Strike Industries Strike Micro Threaded Comp - QUAD V, an OpticsPlanet exclusive, is now available for 9mm handguns. Priced at  $74.95, this compensator is designed to eliminate vertical muzzle movement, making it a practical choice for shooters entering the Open Division at USPSA matches or seeking improved control. This compensator builds on the original Quad Comp, with a focus on reducing vertical muzzle rise through two large vertical ports. It’s supposed to be compatible with any 9mm handgun featuring a 1/2x28 threaded barrel, including models like the Glock 17 and Glock 19.

Pistol chassis systems have become increasingly popular in recent times. These systems appeal to many shooters by combining the compact size of a PDW with the ability to use standard pistol magazines and fire control units (FCUs). This versatility is attractive because it allows users to purchase a single firearm and configure it in multiple ways. Several companies, such as CAA and Flux, have introduced their own unique interpretations of the pistol chassis concept. However, the Strike SMC stands out as one of the most distinctive designs I've had the opportunity to use. Not only is the SMC visually striking, but it is also relatively affordable compared to many other options on the market, while offering both modularity and solid performance. I have put nearly 3 thousand rounds of 9mm through the chassis since I received it and have been thoroughly impressed with it.

I’m always pleased to see when Strike Industries comes out with handy tools like their new series of Carbon Fiber Suppressor Alignment Rods. These new rods, just like other suppressor alignment rods, help you to check your barrel and mounted suppressor for proper alignment so that you don’t have an unfortunate battle or end cap strike. Dubbed “Send-It-Sticks” these new alignment rods run for about $90 and come in a complete set covering everything from .223 all the way up to .45.

The Strike A2 Blast Shield is one of the newest clever add-ons for AR-15s or M4s, this time specifically for rifles sporting the classic A2 birdcage muzzle device. The AK market is still very much alive and thriving in 2025 and the guys over at Strike Industries and XLogic are all here for it with a new pair of muzzle devices specifically designed for AKs and AKM-patterned rifles. The new Strike/XLogic AK Widow Flash Hider and Ghost Muzzle Brake are designed for slightly different user groups, with the Widow capable of still allowing for the mounting of an AKM bayonet and improving flash suppression, and the Ghost Muzzle Brake redirects felt recoil and helps control muzzle flip with its 6 port brake system (probably loud!). As a guy who’s been shooting iron sights on handguns since the mid-’90s, it took me a while to adapt to pistol-mounted optics. This was due to procrastination and resistance to putting in the time it takes to adjust. I’ve been morbidly curious about the PDW/braced pistol format for quite a long time. What originally kicked off this curiosity was when I had a buddy of mine bring his B&T USW-A1 to a range day we had. The USW-A1, like the Strike SMC ( Strike Modular Chassis) Bravo, is essentially a platform that allows the user the same manual of arms as a typical 9mm sidearm, but with a more stable aiming thanks to an extendable brace or stock. The USW-A1 is probably my favorite example of this concept, but it's also quite pricey and requires the new owner to jump through a few additional NFA loopholes to properly acquire.
