The New DeSantis Pocket Partner Holster

Desantis Gunhide has a new pocket holster for micro pistols. The Kydex Pocket Partner securely conceals popular pocket-sized pistols while still allowing for a rapid draw. Keep reading to find out more, and to see what fitments are available.

DeSantis Gunhide @ TFB:

There are two visible design features that stand out on the Pocket Partner. The most obvious is the barbed hook protruding from the bottom of the holster, which snags in the pocket to provide resistance for the draw stroke. Those hooks should keep the holster in the pocket, but not the gun. At the top of the holster, there is a ledge (near the rear sight) that is a leverage point for the thumb. Pushing down on the extension helps free the gun from the holster.

DeSantis makes the Pocket Partner for several popular micro pistols, including:

  • Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0
  • Ruger LCP Max
  • Ruger LCP II
  • Sig Sauer P365
  • Sig Sauer P365 with red dot
  • Sig Sauer P365 SAS
  • Sig Sauer P365 X with Romeo Zero

All models are ambidextrous, and retail for $49.99. At this time, black is the only color option. These models are available for order now on the DeSantis website, and at retailers.

From the manufacturer:

“The #222, Pocket Partner™, is built from precision-formed Kydex®, is ambidextrous, and has user-adjustable tension. The bold hook-shaped component keeps the Pocket Partner™ secure in the pants pocket when drawing the pistol. The elongated thumb tabs allows the operator to push off and disengage the pistol while still in the pocket allowing a very rapid draw.”

"Those hooks should keep the holster in the pocket"

When I might need something in an emergency I don't want to worry about what SHOULD happen. I'll stick with my Mika holster for pocket carry.

DeSantis never said should. Don't confuse the statements of TFB with actual manufacturers claims.
