Spartan Blades - Two Long Gunner Editions of the Harsey Folder

Spartan Blades has introduced two new special editions of the award-winning Spartan-Harsey Folder, each paying tribute to America’s long gunners - the snipers whose precision and discipline have shaped modern warfare. These knives are designed not only as tools but as symbols of service, heritage, and the quiet professionalism of those who have stood the watch.
Both editions were designed in collaboration with William W. Harsey Jr., the renowned “Knife Maker to the Green Berets.” Harsey’s influence is unmistakable in the balance of function and artistry, while Spartan Blades brings its history of Special Forces service to the project. Each knife features titanium handles laser-engraved with imagery inspired by Tu Lam, a retired Green Beret and co-founder of Ronin Tactics. The design depicts a sniper rifle rendered in a Japanese block print style, overlaid with a dragon and crosshairs—an emblem of patience, overwatch, and precision.
The Spartan-Harsey Folder Long Gunner CPM MagnaCut Edition is built around a premium MagnaCut blade hardened to 60–63 RHC. Known for its edge retention and toughness, MagnaCut has quickly become one of the most sought-after modern steels in the knife world. Combined with the sculpted titanium handles and Spartan’s titanium frame lock system, the knife is engineered to withstand hard use while maintaining smooth deployment via dual thumb studs and a milled ramp. The price is $625.
For collectors who value artistry as much as performance, the Spartan-Harsey Folder Long Gunner Damascus Edition substitutes MagnaCut for a hand-finished Damascus steel blade. The intricate patterns of the Damascus bring a striking visual dimension, complementing the engraved handles and elevating the knife as both a working tool and a collectible piece. The price is $725.
Both versions carry unique serial numbers, ensuring each is one-of-a-kind. Aside from the blades, pivot, and stop pin, the knives are crafted almost entirely from 6AL-4V titanium, combining strength with reduced weight. Ergonomic details such as finger grooves and jimping provide a confident grip, while Spartan’s over-travel stop ensures long-term reliability of the lockup.
Whether chosen for carry or collection, these Long Gunner editions are described to stand as a testament to the enduring bond between Spartan Blades, its Special Forces roots, and the precision marksmen who inspired them.
If you bought one, would you use it as a daily blade, special occasions only or just for collection?
