Small Business Spotlight: Tell Us About Your Firearm Business

Small business is the backbone of this country. We spill gallons of digital ink talking about the big dogs of the firearm world, like Beretta, Glock, SIG, and Springfield Armory. But for every large firearm manufacturer, hundreds of smaller companies make our little world more interesting. Over the years, we’ve found many in the basement level of the SHOT Show, like Magna Lens, which offers a unique solution to the awkward combination of eye and ear protection.
But many fantastic firearm startups have yet to even make it to SHOT, and some never will. We know many of you are involved in these businesses. So we’d love the opportunity to hear about your businesses and profile them here on TFB.
So if you have a compelling firearm-related business, take a few minutes to fill out this form and tell us your story. We’ll contact the most interesting ones for a short profile here on TFB.
We’re especially interested in hearing about innovative products, unique services, and interesting things you’re doing for your community. Are you using 3D printing in an interesting way? Do you run community events at your local range? Are you customizing antique guns? Creating unique holsters for obscure models? Or maybe you just have a unique marketing strategy?
A great example of a unique startup is HUSH Holsters. They make a unique product—holsters for suppressed pistols. They make them in a unique way, by 3D printing. And they have a unique marketing angle based around 3D printed bananas and fun stickers.
We expect many responses, and we can’t guarantee that we’ll respond to every single one. You don’t have to be as amusing as HUSH or as innovative as Magna Lens, but you should have some unique twist that will make interesting reading for our readers. In other words: Don’t be boring!
We look forward to hearing about your business!

Wait, is he pulling out a banana?
Just replied on X, but will paste it here as well :) We’re actually building something in this space. Not directly about firearms, but it does address one of the biggest unspoken issues many responsible gun owners quietly worry about: what happens to your sensitive information if something happens to you? We're a team of shooters who built a way to pass on crucial data — securely — after death. Happy to share if that fits your spotlight!
Hi Kevin, thanks for the thoughtful reply — and totally fair point. You're absolutely right: to use a system like this, you need to completely trust the architecture behind it.
We built LegacyApp with that exact concern in mind. Here’s how it works:
So even if LegacyApp went offline, got hacked, or disappeared — your data is:
If you'd like, I'm happy to do a quick walkthrough. We’re shooters building this for shooters.
