[SHOT 2026] Getting a Grip on the Glock 43 & 48 with Grit Grip
Grip is kind of important. At SHOT Show Industry Day at the Range this year, Grit Grip is a company that’s making it its business to provide affordable options for reliable, well-thought-out and ‘gripy’ pistol frames.
Grit Grips, based in North Charleston, SC, haven’t been around too long, only launching a couple of years ago but in that time they found success with their Glock 19 frame and Glock components. Now they’re introducing their Glock 43X/48 frames. The new frames are currently undergoing testing with plans to have them ready to go in the next couple of months.
Grit Grips will be offering a complete assembled frame, with genuine OEM Glock components, ready to accept any G43X/G48 upper of your choosing, an assembled frame with Grit Grips own parts and finally a stripped frame - while this frame doesn’t include internal parts or locking block they do come with a magazine catch. The assembled frame, with genuine OEM Glock components comes in at $162.99 MSRP while the assembled frame is listed as $119 while the stripped frame costs $69.99.
The company says that their 18° grip angle offers “exceptional frame ergonomics”, when compared to the stock 22° grip angle. Grit Grips also notes that their texture pattern is specially designed to provide ample grip in the hand with the proprietary texture design optimised for providing vertical grip and minimising horizontal movement, especially when appendix carrying. Each of the frames also have angled, textured accelerator pads to help manage recoil, something Glock have only just introduced with the Gen 6.
But it’s not just frames from Grit Grips, they also offer slide assemblies for the Glock 19 as well as magazines and Glock component parts.
Speaking to Grit Grips' Dusty Sroufe, he explained that Glock 45 frames are currently under development and in the longer term they’re interested in moving into developing frames for pistols like the SIG Sauer P365.
