[SHOT 2025] Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C Pistols Now In FDE and ODG
Springfield Armory introduced the Echelon series of pistols in 2023. Like in the case of their other product lines, they have been constantly expanding the Echelon line releasing new configurations, colors and variants like the 4.0C compact pistol. At SHOT Show 2025, the company announced the Flat Dark Earth (FDE) and Olive Drab Green (ODG) color options of the Echelon 4.0C 9mm pistol.

“The Echelon 4.0C set a new standard for duty-grade performance in an EDC-ready pistol,” said Steve Kramer, Springfield Armory’s Vice President of Marketing. “Now offered in either Desert FDE or OD Green, the Echelon 4.0C line offers even more options for the serious user.”
The Echelon 4.0C has a compact frame and a 4” barrel. The slides are Cerakoted. Echelons are chassis-based pistols where the serialized part is the removable trigger control group housing. This makes the frame a non-regulated part allowing to swap frames creating different configurations. These pistols also feature the Variable Interface System that allows direct mounting optics of different footprints. The pistols come with two magazines, a flush-fit 15-rounder and an extended 18-round one with a matching extension color.
