About Recoil Rider

Recoil Rider designs and manufactures revolver grips optimized for concealed carry. These grips provide superior recoil control without the tackiness of rubber. They're built for the everyday snubnose user who carries in the pocket or appendix and wants a grip that never prints or snags.

What makes Recoil Rider unique?

My business is the first to design a revolver grip that provides the recoil absorption of rubber grips but with a non-tacky surface finish, so they won't cling/snag to clothing.

Key features of these grips are described by the manufacturer as follows:

  • Recoil Absorption: Cushioned backstrap reduces felt recoil, even when using +P ammunition.
  • Snag-Free Concealment: Unlike rubber grips, they wont cling to clothing. The non-tacky exterior ensures a smooth draw and mitigates printing.
  • Low-Profile: Conceals like boot grips but provides a three-finger grip with a dedicated spot for your pinky.
  • Lighter Weight: Reduce the weight of your EDC by up to an ounce compared to stock grips.
  • Improved Grip Angle: Corrects the "pointing-down" feeling and wrist-bending common to J-Frames, providing a more natural point-of-aim and faster target acquisition.
  • Optimized Trigger Reach: Thicker backstrap geometry improves trigger finger placement for more control.

Currently available for Smith & Wesson J-Frames, Ruger LCR and LCRx, Taurus 856, Kimber K6XS and K6S, and Diamondback SDR revolvers, the Recoil Rider grips come in CCW or Boot styles as well as Large and Standard fits. The two styles and fits are explained in the pictures below.

"Boot grips are for minimalists who want the lowest-profile revolver grip for pocket carry. The CCW-style grips are for shooters who demand a compact grip with a spot for the pinky."
"Standard (S): Slimmer profile for easier pocket draw and deep concealment. Large (L): Thicker backstrap for maximized trigger reach and recoil reduction."

The price for all revolver models, styles and fits is $49.99.

Nice website, looks like great reviews. I’ve always wondered why grip mfgs don’t put pics of folks with different sized hands actually holding the product.

I picked up one of their J-frame boot grips, it does seem to follow their of reducing recoil while being less grabby on clothing than Hogue's rubber grips.

I'd like to see more models from them, particularly something more like the Hamre Forge AFR or the VZ High Horn grips that fills out the palm more.
