For all of our brethren in the restrictive state of California, there is good news coming your way via Springfield Armory as their California Legal Echelon models are now shipping. This includes the 4.0C (Echelon Compact) and 4.5F (Echelon Full-Size) as well as compensated barrel versions of each.

The little cartridge that could is gaining even more momentum in 2025 as it has found a new home in the venerable Springfield Armory Hellcat OSP (Optical Sight Pistol). You can now get a Hellcat chambered in .380 ACP for all of the concealed carry loyalists who also love themselves a good 380 pistol.

Welcome back to another TFB review. In the past, I’ve reviewed the standard Springfield SA-35 and had a good experience with no hammer bite despite the classic Hi Power design. Over the last few months, Springfield has come out with two other color variants (Tactical Gray and Coyote Brown) to bring the SA-35 into the 21st century with a more modern look. Over the past few months, I have tested both models and there's plenty to talk about, so it's time to get into it. The good old M1A, it's a rifle we have talked about over and over again here at TFB. While its a design that is coming up on being 70 years old, there are still many people today who love this rifle. Springfield Armory has refreshed the Saint line of rifles and pistols. They sent a pinned-and-welded rifle out early for review so I could run it prior to release. Across a range of shooting situations it has proven to be a solid example of the current state of the AR-15.

Springfield Armory announced their newest polymer handgun iteration on 19 August, with the unveiling of the Echelon 4.0C Comp 9mm. This is a small tweak to the original Echelon 4.0C in that you now have the option of an integrally compensated barrel and slide from the factory. We are going to run through a full review of this pistol to see if this Echelon variant and its compensated barrel are worth the hype. Let’s dive in!

Springfield Armory Announces the Launch of 1911 Operator AOS Threaded Pistols

I know what you’re thinking, not another AR-15 review, because that’s what I was (albeit very briefly) thinking as I sat down to write this, but my time with the new Springfield Armory Saint Victor 11.5” 5.56 Pistol has been positive enough to compel my hand, or hands in this case. As it was my first time shooting a Springfield AR, I set aside peer reviews from previous models and focused on my personal experience with this new pistol variant, one that I found very useful as a general setup for anyone looking for home defense or a great time at the range.

Springfield Armory has two SAINT Victor pistols currently available - a 11.5” 5.56 NATO and a 5.5” 9mm - and today this family of firearms is getting bigger. Springfield has announced an additional SAINT Victor 8.5” 9mm pistol as well.

The Springfield Armory Kuna is a compact 9mm PDW with a modern design. Built around a monolithic aluminum upper, it features a roller-delayed blowback system. The Kuna uses a fixed, cold hammer-forged 6-inch barrel with a Melonite finish for durability and consistent accuracy. The platform includes a reversible, non-reciprocating charging handle that folds down when not in use, along with ambidextrous controls for the safety, magazine release, and bolt release.

Springfield Armory has announced a new limited-release rifle that is coming in hot with some strong peanut drip in the Model 2020 Heatseeker. This rifle looks to blur the lines between target shooting, competition, and a hunter’s wet dream.
