PWS Launches BDE762K-TI: 3D-Printed Titanium for .308 and Up

Primary Weapons Systems has added the BDE762K-TI suppressorĀ to its lineup, a 3D-printed Grade 5 titanium can chambered for .308/7.62 NATO and rated up to .300 Winchester Magnum.

At 13.6 ounces with the included PUB mount installed, and just 6.625 inches long, the BDE762K-TI stays light on carbine-length .308 setups without giving up the magnum-rated headroom. The exterior gets a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating, and the mounting interface runs on a 1.375x24 TPI thread pitch, the same universal standard found across a wide range of adapters and muzzle devices.

The PUB mount ships already installed and is compatible with PWS's own FRC muzzle devices as well as other popular options (specific compatibility list not published on the product page). That mount-and-go setup lets you thread the can directly onto a compatible brake already on your rifle.

The 3D-Printed Angle

PWS leans heavily on the additive manufacturing story here. The 6AL-4V titanium alloy, the same grade used in aerospace and medical applications, is produced via 3D printing, which the company says enables internal geometries not achievable through traditional machining. The baffles are taper-threaded to prevent carbon locking, a known maintenance headache with fixed baffle designs. An external texture pattern on the tube does double duty as a grip surface and heat dissipation feature.

One serviceability detail worth noting: The serialized entrance chamber is separate from the baffle monocore. When the monocore eventually needs cleaning or replacement, the serialized component stays put, avoiding any re-registration complications.

PWS claims the design "minimizes backpressure" to reduce gas blowback to the shooter. No independent decibel testing data is published on the product page, so sound performance figures are unverified.

For more background on how baffle geometry and materials affect suppressor performance, TFB's Sound Science For Suppressor LoversĀ is a solid primer.

Price, Availability, and Specs

The BDE762K-TI is listed at $749.95Ā and is currently in stock. As a serialized NFA item, purchase requires transfer through an FFL/SOT Class III dealer. PWS warranty details are available through the company's standard warranty page.
