EXPS3 HD: EOTech Teaches An Old Dog New Tricks
@Hoplopfheil is out on the SHOT Show 2026 floor checking out the new EXPS3 HD on the SHOT Show floor with John from EOTech, who walks through what’s changed from the legacy EXPS line and why they went to an all‑aluminum “heavy duty” housing. Today, John explains the move to the cleaner, hoodless aluminum body, the side rotary dial with dedicated NV positions and an auto‑brightness mode, plus new shake‑awake and auto shutoff options aimed at making the 1x holographic more duty‑ready.
Hop and John also discuss how the familiar 68 MOA ring and 1 MOA dot look in the updated window, how the sight balances on a carbine with the integrated QD mount, and presses John on whether the durability and feature upgrades justify the higher price over the older EXPS3.

Nothing but negative comments about it on YouTube . Shake wake feature 10 years after everyone else, worst in class battery life, probably same glass that delaminates after 3-4 years, exposed turrets and non locking exposed light dial. No one seems to like the way it looks and all this for $400 more than the regular ESPS3.
