POTD: Swedish Arctic Rangers In G300 6x6 - Exercise Adamant Serpent 25

The polar night occurs in the Arctic and Antarctic circles during winter when the sun remains below the horizon for over 24 hours. This prolonged darkness creates a surreal, cold atmosphere, with faint twilight at midday. Often accompanied by icy landscapes and shimmering auroras, it’s both harsh and eerily beautiful. Ask me, I should know as I spent some time there. Enter the Kulspruta 58, or the Machine Gun FN MAG in caliber 7.62x51mm, mounted on the Mercedes Benz G300 6x6. To be honest, if given the choice, I’d probably take the G300 6x6 over the FN MAG - maybe I should join another blog?
Below: Swedish Arctic Rangers conduct training as part of Exercise Adamant Serpent 25 in Sweden, in November 2024. Adamant Serpent is a joint training exercise between the United States and Sweden.
The annual exercise is used to strengthen the strategic and tactical relationship of the two forces and better enable them to respond to potential threats.

Pretty sure that second photo is a Rebellion soldier scanning the horizon for Imperial troopers on the ice planet of Hoth. 😬
If anyone has a info on when/how the Swedish military retire old G-wagons I'd love to get my hands on a 6x6!
