POTD: Nocpix ACE50R Thermal Riflescope On Suppressed Ruger Rifle

Photo Of The Day where we take a closer look at the new Thermal Riflescope from Nocpix. This model is called ACE 50R, and as the sun dips below the horizon and the forest begins to darken, a thermal riflescope becomes any hunter’s greatest ally for hunting wild boar. With daylight fading, these elusive animals come alive under the cover of night, but a thermal turns the tables in my favor.

Its high-resolution thermal imaging reveals even the faintest heat signatures through dense brush and total darkness, making it almost unfair. The 50mm lens gives me a clear, crisp view of my target.

The suppressor is A-Tec’s Marksman, for .30 caliber. This Ruger Precision Rifle is in .308 Win, and the green magazine is an indication to me that the capacity is hunting legal. It’s the only way to find it among all the others…

So what does it look like? Below is a sample image I took a few nights ago, using red hot. The LRF tells me they’re 56 meters away, and the eye contact (If one can say so in this case?) tells me they kind of know I’m out there…

There’ll be a review of this riflescope on TFB, so stay tuned for more details.
