New SIG HEXIUM Suppressors - 3D Printed & Low Back Pressure

The new SIG Sauer Hexium suppressor family is designed to perform across a variety of popular platforms, but it’s probably not a coincidence that all the lifestyle images are together with AR-style firearms. The manufacturing process is additive manufacturing, or in other words, 3D printing in metal. Inside the core, SIG claims to have unique internal geometries that deliver a low back pressure and quiet tones across firearms of all types.

Hexium is available in three calibers (5.56 NATO, 7.62x51 and 300 Blackout), and the family consists of three Titanium models and one Inconel steel rated for 5.56 NATO. The outside runs a hexagonal pattern, with black Cerakote on top. I really like this look, and would love to have a peek inside. 

All models come standard with a Hub Taper Direct Thread Mount for easy installation across popular barrel thread patterns. Up front, a modular end cap system supports accessory mounting for additional customization.

HEXIUM 556 INC

Designed for extreme durability under high round counts, the Hexium 556 INC features a full Inconel construction ideal for sustained suppressive fire or full-auto applications. Did you know that Inconel is used in Formula 1 racing in high-temperature, high-stress applications like the exhausts?

Here’s a good image of the fading hexagonal pattern. Perhaps the pattern has something to do with the name Hexium? Quite likely.
