POTD: 296 Ducats, 296 Pistols, 500 Years of Beretta
Five centuries ago, a payment of 296 ducats reached Bartolomeo Beretta, and the paperwork has never looked better. On October 3rd, 1526, that transaction became the first documented entry in the history of the world's oldest industrial dynasty, and Beretta has now turned it into a pistol.
Welcome to TFB's Photo Of The Day, featuring the 92FS Ducato 500 Years Limited Edition, built in a run of exactly 296 guns, one for each ducat.
The steel frame wears a DLC finish, while the grips are cut from millennia-old fossilized Abonos oak and set with gold inserts replicating both faces of a Venetian ducat.
Gold 500 Years engraving marks the slide and frame, and every pistol arrives in a handcrafted case beside an authentic 16th-century ducat.
Somewhere, Martin Riggs is nodding in approval, though he would probably still keep it in the glovebox.

Nice. I love 92s. Hate stupid, dangerous ( yes they are ), plastic guns.
That's a lot of ducats.
Do we have a price on that and where can I change American dollars into Ducats?
