At IWA 2025, Tinck Arms unveiled the Perun X47, a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm, combining modern engineering with classic AK-47 magazine compatibility. The Perun X47 features a rotating bolt hybrid DI & short-stroke gas piston system, ensuring reliable performance in challenging conditions. Its ambidextrous handling, non-reciprocating charging handle, and compatibility with standard AK-47 magazines make it a versatile choice for shooters seeking a blend of tradition and innovation.

Dunno, I have no use for 7.62x39 platforms, that time has passed.

7.62x39mm rounds are inadequate for anything from 150 meters on and really arent very accurate. They were never designed for anything except close combat per Soviet military combat doctrine. It would have been smarter to make the rifle for the 5.45x39 round currently in use AND the 5.56 NATO ammunition.
