FALCO Holsters has officially expanded its Kydex offerings, bringing three new carry options into a space where most manufacturers stick with the usual inside-the-waistband (IWB) or outside-the-waistband (OWB) formulas. These new kydex options will help those who prefer or need a chest carry, small of the back, or cross-draw holster to get what they need for the gun that they carry.

Into Alternative Carry Styles? FALCO's Got You Covered

August 29, 2025 – FALCO® Holsters expands its Kydex Holsters lineup with the introduction of three new holsters designed for less conventional carry methods. The Kydex SOB Holster, the Kydex Cross Draw Holster, and the Kydex Chest Holster are now being crafted for firearm owners seeking unique carry solutions beyond standard IWB or OWB configurations. Each holster is made from U.S. Kydex using FALCO's traditional crafting techniques to ensure outstanding retention, lasting durability, and quick draw.

D910 – Kydex Chest Holster
Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, and tactical professionals, the Kydex Chest Holster D910 delivers fast, intuitive draws while keeping your handgun clear of backpacks or hip-mounted gear. Its fully adjustable nylon harness holds the holster securely to the chest, preventing unwanted movement even during demanding activity. The rigid Kydex shell provides excellent retention and stands up to harsh weather and rugged terrain. Handcrafted to fit more than 2,400 firearms, the D910 can be configured for optics-ready setups and is available in both right- and left-handed designs.
MSRP: $169.95
C913 – Kydex Cross Draw Holster
The Kydex Cross Draw Holster offers an ergonomic solution for firearm owners who spend long hours seated, providing reliable access when traditional strong-side carry is less practical. With its exceptional retention and open-top design, the C913 allows for fast, smooth draws when every second counts. Each holster is handcrafted to fit more than 2,400 firearms and can be configured for optics-ready setups. Users can also select their preferred belt loop width to match their daily routine.
MSRP: $119.95
C914 - Kydex SOB Holster
The Kydex Small-of-Back Holster is crafted for carry in the 5–6 o’clock position, where its strong forward cant enables an efficient, natural draw. The open-top design and superior retention ensure quick access, while the open-bottom construction prevents debris buildup. It comes equipped with standard FALCO polymer belt loops in 1.5" or 2" sizes. Users can also choose from multiple customization options, including optic compatibility, dominant hand, and sweat guard configuration.
MSRP: $119.95

"Thanks to our decades of expertise in holster making, we craft custom holsters and products outside of our standard offerings every single day," said Robert Kováč, CEO of FALCO Holsters. "Some of these designs are missing from the market, and customers request them so often that we chose to make them available for everyone. Our goal with these holsters was to make them more accessible, safer, and practical. That’s exactly how our new SOB, cross draw, and chest Kydex holsters came to life. These alternative options, rarely seen in Kydex, give firearm owners the freedom to choose the carry style and material that best match their lifestyle."

These holsters were created in direct response to feedback from everyday firearm owners—shooters who needed practical carry solutions the market had overlooked. By paying attention to those requests and tailoring their craftsmanship accordingly, FALCO demonstrates that its products are guided not by passing trends but by the needs of the people who depend on them.

I've never used a chest rig, so I have no opinion on it, but I have used crossdraw holsters extensively, and I don't like this one. The main reason is, the gun is carried about two inches too low. The butt will rub or dig into your thigh if you wear it while you're driving, and the butt is too low to be concealed under a regular untucked shirt. Move the holster two inches higher on the backplate and you have a good holster.

Besides the dangers to your back mentioned above, SOB holsters print if you're not standing at attention, and the person they print to is behind you. Not a good plan for SA. Plus, they're uncomfortable as hell if you're sitting or driving for any length of time, and if you sit in a chair with an open back, like a lot of kitchen chairs, the gun will protrude through the opening below the back and print like crazy (again, only to people behind you), and when you get up out of the chair, the gun will catch on the back and lift the chair with you. (Ask me how I know all this.)

But as always, it's America and you can go to your church while I go to mine.

That cross draw is way too low in my opinion. I don't understand why they would do that at all. I love cross draw holsters for 'out in the wild' usage and I've been considering one for my subcompact carry gun lately but this one is way off base.

They need to build an OWB cross draw that sits so the guns grip is just above the belt line (same with the SOB although I think that's a terrible place to carry a gun). I'd love to see an IWB cross draw as well as long as the guns grip is accessible just above the belt line.

Falco is having some teething issues with their kydex holsters ranging from retention to the actual design but I can appreciate that they are always trying to improve. Hopefully they come up with an improved cross draw option in both IWB and OWB. I'll be watching to see how it goes. I have need of so many holsters at the moment it financially overwhelming lol.
