Palmetto State Armory Unleashes The Krink in 7.62x39
Palmetto State Armory is back in the news with a new and logical next step in the evolution of its Soviet Arms Krink series of firearms, chambering the new "Krinkov" in classic 7.62x39. Whatever your thoughts may be when it comes to PSA, there is no doubt that they are taking feedback seriously and developing firearms that the gun community wants to see hit the market. More than that, PSA is known for taking on the mission of spreading 2A cheer at a price that won’t take you to the cleaners or a family law practice, and the 7.62x39 Krink is no exception.
The Palmetto State Armory Krink family currently includes versions chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, .300 Blackout, and 5.45x39mm, but overwhelming customer feedback suggested the stable could never be complete without a timeless 7.62x39 variant. Well, here it is.
If you’re already acquainted with PSA’s Soviet Arms Krink series, many of the features on the new 7.62x39 Krink will feel quite familiar, starting with the cold hammer forged trunnion, bolt, and carrier. Also making a return is an 8.4" 4150 steel barrel with nitride finish, featuring a 1:9.5 twist rate, M24x1.5RH threads, and capped with a Krink Booster muzzle device. A 90-degree front sight gas block combo, rear sight mounted to a hinged dust cover, left side optic rail, and single-stage single-hook fire control group is also packed onto the Krink’s stamped steel dimpled receiver.
The new PSA 7.62x39 Krink will initially ship with a trio to choose from, starting with a pair of braced pistols, one featuring black furniture and the other, my personal favorite, rocking the plum gloss finish. A third variant, available in plum gloss, is what PSA calls “SBR ready,” skipping the brace and leaving you with a Picatinny rail on the backside to accommodate a brace of your choice or a proper stock.
I’ll take this opportunity to remind you that free tax stamps are coming in January, so get your Form 1s ready because this is the way.
The rear Picatinny rail is attached via a stock pin to a 4.5mm folding rear trunnion on all versions. This means it can be removed completely to make way for a traditional 4.5mm folding stock if you so desire, adding to the versatility and adaptability of PSA’s 7.62x39 Krink.
All models of the PSA Soviet Arms 7.62x39 Krink ship with one 30-round magazine, where allowed, with MSRP starting at $999 for the “SBR ready” version and $1199 for the braced versions.
This one made perfect sense to me. What do you think of Palmetto State Armory’s new addition to the Krink lineup? Personally, I am thrilled to see a domestic AK manufacturer supporting the Second Amendment and the community with such enthusiasm. PSA’s AK variants have been getting better with every evolution, and I’m looking forward to shooting the 7.62x39 Krink in the near future. As always, thank you for reading, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

I'm buying. Excellent choice and PSA has pretty much stablished itself as a producer of weapons good enough for defense and even better for LARPing hard, like this one.
Very cool, but I'd get a Zastava.
