The Civilian Marksmanship Program has yet another unique military sniper rifle up for auction. This Mark 13 Mod 3 was issued by the US Navy and is in completely authentic as-issued condition. It is not every day that you have the opportunity to bid on something like this!

CMP @ TFB:

The Mark 13 is a .300 Win Mag bolt-action sniper rifle famously used by the US Navy SEALs. It has gone through various iterations, with the Mod 7 being the most recent. This particular gun is a Mod 3 built on a Remington 700 action. It has a McCann Industries rail mount for running night vision or thermal optics in conjunction with the daytime scope, and features a Harris bipod. The stock is from McMillan and is painted in a desert camo scheme that was likely meant to blend into the environment in Iraq or Afghanistan. Unlike more modern incarnations of the Mark 13, this one does not have a detachable magazine and instead has the standard floorplate seen on run-of-the-mill Remington 700 BDL models.

As of writing there are 11 days left on the auction and the bid is already up to $3,651. Head over to the CMP Auctions website if you want to get in on the bidding.
