Big Capacity, Small Size: Del-Ton DT20 Enters Micro-Compact Market
Del-Ton has been building AR parts and even full rifles for a long time now—but what about pistols? For 2024, the Del-Ton DT20 enters the micro-compact pistol market. The North Carolina-based manufacturer says it has the most magazine capacity in this segment.
Micro Compact Pistols @ TFB:
The Del-Ton DT20 is a polymer-framed micro-compact double-action striker-fired semi-auto chambered in 9x19mm—nothing particularly groundbreaking there! What makes the DT20 different is a double-stack magazine that doesn’t reduce to a single round at the top. It’s able to do this thanks to a new patent-pending trigger design.
Del-Ton designed the trigger bar in such a way that it doesn’t extend backwards into the pistol’s grip. Instead, it reaches upwards, pushing a “button” on the inside of the slide that acts as the sear. Thanks to new ATF regulations, this means the slide itself is considered the pistol’s serialized “frame” component, says Del-Ton. In theory, this means users can swap out frames in the future while keeping the same upper parts.
This is also supposed to make everything simpler and more affordable, according to Del-Ton—and it also allows a flush-fit 12+1 magazine, which Del-Ton says is the most in the micro-compact pistol market.
The trigger pull is six pounds. The DT20 pistol weighs 17 ounces without a magazine inserted; it ships with two magazines.
Del-Ton says it’s working on getting holster manufacturers to build systems specifically for the new DT20 pistol. However, the pistol does fit in some existing universal-fit holsters that are not shaped to hold a specific pistol.
Earlier this winter, the company said the DT20 would hit shelves in the second quarter of 2024, at an MSRP of $499. For more details, check out Del-Ton’s website here.

I want to read a review, this is an advertisement. At a $499 MSRP it would have to be one heck of a gun to compete with guns in the same price range like the Canik Mete MC9 especially since the Del-Ton isn't even optics ready. Looks like it's too little, too late to me.
Well that didn't last long. Per Del-Ton.com:
