NEW Wilson Combat SIG P320 Grip Modules
Wilson Combat starts a new chapter in their saga of improving US Military handguns. They were initially known for making custom versions of Uncle Sam’s first semi auto-handgun, the M1911, then they stepped into the Beretta M9 game and perfected this platform to its limits, and now, they are entering the market of customizing America’s new handgun, the SIG Sauer P320 (M17/M18). The company has announced that new Wilson Combat SIG P320 grip modules are now available.
As you know, the idea behind having a serialized chassis (fire control unit) instead of a frame is to give the customers a high level of modularity allowing them to swap frames (grip modules) on the same legal firearm. Grip modules like this are non-serialized parts and can be shipped to your door without any paperwork.
These are not modified P320 grip modules but completely new ones, made in new molds. Here are the key features of the Wilson Combat SIG P320 Grip Module as seen on the company’s website:
- Upgraded, high-cut 1911-style beavertail grip tang for smooth draws
- Undercut front-strap and reshaped, radiused trigger guard for the highest grip possible
- Enlarged, integrated magwell opening for fast reloads-compatible with the latest generation SIG-SAUER X-series factory basepads
- Improved grip traction and increased grip pattern coverage with Wilson Combat’s exclusive Starburst grip pattern on the sides and aggressive texturing on the front and backstrap
- Frame reference serrations for support hand thumb or index finger positioning
- Internal grip slots for Tungsten weights
- Angled “Holster Cuts” on light rail to aid in snag-free, re-holstering
- Factory SIG-SAUER magazine release pre-installed
- Compatible with all standard holsters
There are compact and full-size versions of Wilson Combat SIG P320 grip modules. Some of them are available both with and without a manual safety cut. The color options are black or tan. Overall, the following five frame size, safety style and color combinations are currently available:

As the world's only Chief Firearms Aesthetic Analyst, this certainly upgrades the looks on the Sig P320. There are still better looking pistols on the market but if you are afflicted with such purchasing decisions then I think this would be a prudent choice.
Update on this - I ordered and received a carry size frame.
Feels wonderful, if you find the 320 grip fat or the texture not aggressive enough, this resolves both. I love the bobtail profile as opposed to the lanyard hole on the original frame. I use small size frames on my 320 instead of the mediums they ship with, and this still feels perfect for me. The flaring on the magazine well is not crazy, but more prominent than the pictures show. I find it just about ideal.
I have struggled a bit with mounting my X300 (old quick release mounting system) securely. On my OEM frame using the "P" marked spring loaded mounting system, the light fits perfectly and the rail slot it mounts to is in the perfect spot to let it sit tight against the trigger guard. On the Wilson carry frame, the front of the rail has an inward bevel (can be seen in the pictures) and the rail slots are placed slightly differently. These together cause the light to not sit tight against the trigger guard, and to have some front and back play.
I'm going to try going back to the U marked mounting plate or using the locking picatinny mounting system to resolve this. I would imagine it's not an issue with the screw down X300s.
