At Jagd & Hund, Europe’s largest hunting trade show, Swarovski Optics expanded their Z8i line with a high-magnification rifle scope. The Z8i+ 5-40x56 is the first of its kind in the premium hunting segment, combining sharp optics with a wide field of view for precise target acquisition. Designed for long-range hunting, it delivers exceptional detail even at 40x magnification. This latest addition to the Z8i series—now totaling eight models—will be available at select retailers starting February 2025.

Swarovski Optics @ TFB:

Z8i+ 5-40x56 Rifle Scope Overview

The Z8i+ 5-40x56 rifle scope offers an 8x zoom range, allowing for precise magnification adjustments from close to long-range targets. It delivers consistently high image quality across the entire zoom range, maintaining sharp detail even at 40x magnification for accurate target identification and aiming.

Improved Field of View and Eye Relief

The Z8i+ features an expanded field of view and a large eyebox, making it easier to acquire targets even if your eye position is slightly off. This flexibility is especially useful in fast-paced hunting scenarios where quick reactions are necessary.

The rifle scope includes practical accessories to enhance usability and durability. The Ballistic Turret Flex (BTF) functions as both an elevation and windage turret, offering 70 precise clicks for distance adjustments. The Personalized Ballistic Ring (PBR) can be engraved to match specific ammunition and firearm ballistics. The Throw Lever (TL) enables quick zoom adjustments, while additional accessories like lens protectors and illuminated reticle aids improve performance in challenging conditions.

“The ballistic turret flex (BTF) can be used as a top or side turret and can be combined with all the available reticles. It can be configured separately and enables you always to stay on target at the desired distances. The BTF can be fitted without using any tool and has a lock mechanism that prevents you from turning it inadvertently. Fits all Z8i models.”

The price in Europe is from € 4,180 and in the USA $4,299.

The reticle is the traditional 4A-I, which may not be for everyone - especially not at 40x magnification and long range.
