POTD: The SIG Sauer MCX-RATTLER LT

Photo Of The Day and we look at the MCX-Rattler LT puzzle. The new MCX builds on the original design with improved modularity and enhanced performance. It features fully ambidextrous controls, including a bolt catch and release, as well as an adjustable gas piston for reliable operation with or without a suppressor. Equipped with a SIG QD suppressor-ready flash hider and a flat-blade trigger for precise control, the LT offers versatility for various configurations. It comes with a cold hammer-forged barrel in 6" or 7.75" lengths and is fully compatible with all MCX barrels and handguards.
Available in .300 Blackout, 5.56 NATO, and 7.62x39 calibers, the MCX-Rattler LT is designed to meet the demands of nearly any user. Which caliber would you go with, especially considering the barrel length.
The MCX-Rattler LT features 6.75 or 7.75 inch cold hammer forged barrel for ultra compact design, fully ambidextrous controls, interchangeable barrels compatible with all LT barrels and handguards, SIG flat blade match trigger and SIG SLX/SLH suppressor-ready flash hider.

It would be advantages if SIG made this un 6mm MAX and 6.8mm SPC.
Why ignore the longer barrel lengths that would make the MCX, especially in 5.56 version ballistically effective? Any barrel under 10 inches minimum would be marginally or not effective at all. The longer barrels are there in the pictures, but no mention of their length or caliber, which are very important to know for 5.56 & the other calibers as well.
